Privacy Policy

Scrubs Spanish (“the app,” “the site,” “we,” “us”) is a language-learning product from MegaAutomation LLC. This policy covers scrubsspanish.com and the iPhone app. We built it for clinicians who treat confidentiality as seriously as a chart.

The short version

• Microphone audio for shadowing and scoring is processed on your iPhone. We do not upload voice recordings.
• The app does not require an account, name, or login.
• We do not keep roleplay transcripts on our servers after a reply is generated.
• We do not sell your data or track you across other companies’ apps or sites.

This website

The marketing site is static. We do not run a login, newsletter form, or advertising pixels on these pages today. Our host (Vercel) may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability, then discard them on their normal schedule. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

If you email us, we keep that thread long enough to help you. We don’t add you to a marketing list unless you ask.

The iPhone app — what stays on device

• Microphone audio. Shadowing, scoring, and speech-to-text use Apple’s on-device recognition where available. Audio is not sent to MegaAutomation.
• Progress. Lesson progress, review schedule, streak, and settings live in on-device storage (SwiftData).
• Waitlist email. If you join the Medical Spanish waitlist in the app, that address is stored on the device until a waitlist backend exists. It is not uploaded today.

The iPhone app — what leaves the device

Only live AI patient roleplay uses the network. When you take a live turn, the app sends to our proxy (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards the request to our AI provider (currently fal.ai) to generate the patient’s reply:

• The text of that session (your transcribed lines and the scenario prompt)—never the audio file.
• A random device token created on first launch, used only to enforce a fair daily cap. It is not your Apple ID, name, or email.
• A Pro / free flag and the local date, so the correct daily limit applies.

We rate-limit and forward the request. We do not store the conversation after the reply is returned. The model provider processes the text to generate a response and does not use it to train models on our behalf. If you are offline or the service is down, roleplay falls back to an on-device scripted patient and sends nothing.

Purchases

Optional auto-renewing Scrubs Spanish Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your card number. Apple’s rules apply: Apple Privacy Policy.

Analytics and tracking

The current app does not include third-party ads, cross-app tracking, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). Apple may give us aggregate App Store or crash stats that cannot identify you.

Children

Scrubs Spanish is for adult professionals. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Revoke microphone or speech-recognition access in iOS Settings. Listening and reading still work.
• Delete the app to remove local progress from that device.
• There is no server-side account to export. For email you sent us, write privacy@scrubsspanish.com and we will delete what we hold.

Changes

If the product starts collecting more (for example analytics or an account), we will update this page and the App Store privacy labels before that ships.
